Sensei Shelby Wax from Alpha Martial Arts appeared on 9NEWS Friday morning. She demonstrated the FLAG technique in our studios. Her husband wore body armor that they use in the class.
Wax was a school teacher in the Saint Vrain School District and ended up teaching a lot of violence and bully prevention classes. From there she connected with the TERA program, which means Teens Ending Relationship Abuse.
The Fight like a girl seminar is Saturday Oct. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fox Hill Country Club in Longmont.
