A total of six lawsuits have now been filed in federal court in Denver claiming Cinemark USA Inc. was negligent.
Court records show AJ Boik's mother, Mary Theresa Hoover; Micayla Medek's parents, Gregory and Rena Medek; and Matthew McQuinn's mother, Jerri Jackson, filed the latest lawsuits Thursday. All lost their children in the Aurora theater shootings.
The Denver Post reports the lawsuits allege that lax security at Cinemark's Century Aurora 16 theater allowed the attack to happen.
Cinemark, based in Plano, Texas, has said it could not have foreseen the attack.
