The theft happened earlier in the week, and once more over the weekend.
An additional 24 signs were stolen sometime Friday, according to one of the candidates.
The signs featured re-election ads for two town trustee candidates: Debra Williams and Joe Cirelli.
Williams lost 90 signs and Cirelli lost about two dozen.
"Twenty to thirty signs, I can understand," Williams said. "But 90? That's a little too much".
Williams only had 115 signs. She paid for them with her own money. Cirelli paid for his signs by himself too.
Williams said the signs cost her more than $500.
Cirelli lost all of his signs. Williams was able to find one of Cirelli's in a town dumpster.
People who live in Superior said they saw a man in his mid 40s to early 50s plucking signs out of the ground Tuesday during rush hour. No one thought anything of it.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Boulder Sheriff's Department.
