Police said Monday they have no major developments in the case.

Jessica was last seen beginning a short walk from her home to Witt Elementary School the morning of Oct. 5.

On Wednesday, authorities discovered her body in an Arvada park, about 7 miles west of her Westminster home.

Authorities say they don't believe the slaying is related to the arrest of a man accused of luring an 11-year-old girl from Cody, Wyo., into his SUV last Monday by claiming he needed help finding a missing puppy.

A group of hunters found the girl safe outside the town several hours later.

On Sunday, the memorial site in Arvada near where Jessica Ridgeway's body was found drew hundreds of people.

Many of them were parents who brought their kids.

"How do we start talking to our kids about this?" said Kenneth Nadeau, who took his son.

Nadeau began to cry when he approached the memorial.
"It's that innocence is being stolen, and that bothers me," Nadeau said. "In the society we live in today we always worry what our kids are doing."
