"I remember I had a one [prosthetic leg] when I was about 5 years old. [It was] a big heavy piece of wood, and I had to swing my whole body to move it," Robles said.

After a long fight with his mother, Robles was finally allowed to ditch his prosthetic leg and use crutches. He said the decision helped him in the long run.

"It eventually turned out to be better for me because it helped build my upper body which helped my wrestling," Robles said.

Robles was 96-0 and won two state titles his junior and senior year in high school, but still did not receive a Division I athletic scholarship. He talked about what that process was like.

"I felt upset. I was angry, but it was a humbling experience for me and it actually turned out better in the long run because it made me hungrier," Robles said.

He eventually went to college on a different type of scholarship.

"I went to Arizona State on a partial academic scholarship, and I took a night job for the first few years, but eventually when I started to prove myself at the college level, they gave me a full-ride wrestling scholarship," Robles said.

Robles also discussed his recently released book "Unstoppable."

"I wanted to put my whole story in there; things that I wasn't so comfortable sharing, challenges that I have faced. I know there are individuals out there who [are] maybe facing similar challenges, and I want to be able to inspire them," Robles said. "I want people to know that despite the challenges and obstacles, you can be unstoppable."
