Shortly after noon, police received a report of the robbery of the One Stop Gas Station at 2025 S. College Avenue.
According to Fort Collins Police Services Chief John Hutto, a male suspect entered the gas station while brandishing a metal pipe and demanding money. At an undetermined point, both clerks were hit with the pipe, as was a customer who entered the store to come to the clerks' aid.
"He saw them getting beat with the pipe and tried to intervene," Hutto said.
Police are searching for a white male, 5-feet, 10-inches tall and weighing less than 200 pounds. He reportedly has curly brown hair and was last seen wearing black clothing. He fled the scene on foot.
