Attorney Joseph Schleimer told jurors in a libel case against the singer's mother that Sam Lutfi was trying to keep the pop superstar off of drugs but lost control.
During his opening remarks to a jury hearing Lutfi's claims, Schleimer showed photos of Spears with a shaved head and hitting a vehicle with an umbrella.
Lutfi has sued Spears' mother, Lynne, for libel. He says she accused him of drugging her daughter and isolating her from her family.
Lutfi is also suing Spears' father, Jamie for hitting him before the singer was hospitalized and placed in a court-ordered conservatorship in 2008.
