It all started in Colorado Springs after shots were fired in the parking lot of Pens & Needles tattoo shop near Drennan and S. Academy.
There was a rap battle at the shop. The shooting happened during an intermission when two separate groups started to exchange words outside.
The owner and police don't believe the actual rap battle had anything to do with the shooting. Police say it was a confrontation that could have happened anywhere.
The car was later spotted on I-25 NB by a Colorado state patrol officer. The officer followed the vehicle, eventually giving chase and the vehicle crashed two miles later near the Tomah exit.
Four occupants in the vehicle are in custody and police are still searching for the driver.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department sent out a reverse notification to people in the area letting them know there was a possible armed and dangerous suspect in the area.
During the initial investigation, both north and southbound on I-25 were shut down. The southbound side re-opened after fifteen minutes, but northbound traffic was closed for another hour.
No one was injured in the shooting.
