Loveland beat Dakota Ridge Saturday afternoon at Aurora Sports Park to capture the 5A state championship.
The Indians ensured there would be a new 5A champ after knocking of the 5 time defending champion Legacy Lightning in the semi finals.
This is the 2nd ever title for the Loveland softball team and 1st since 2004. They finish the season 22-2.
Runner up Dakota Ridge finished the season with a 22-3 record.
