It happened around 8:30 a.m. at a school bus stop near the intersection of East Louisiana Avenue and South Idalia Street.

Police say the girl reported the two men pulled up next to the child and the driver told her to get in the car. The child refused and ran up to her friends who were walking to the bus stop ahead of her. The SUV fled northbound.

The driver is described as a black male about 40 years old wearing a green baseball hat and a black shirt. The passenger is described only as a white male.

A neighbor told police that that a man in a green Blazer had been watching the kids at the bus stop for the past few weeks.

This witness describes the green Blazer driver as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, brown hair, 5 feet 8 to 6 feet tall with a clean-shaven face.

Police are asking the public to be vigilant and contact Sergeant Joe Young at 303-739-6093 if they know any information about this particular case.
