Charges pending in crash injuring Denver police officer

The officer was responding to a call with lights and sirens activated at about 8 p.m. when the crash happened at the intersection of Colorado and Martin Luther King Boulevards.

Police told 9NEWS Friday the officer was transported to an area hospital with serious bodily injuries. But Saturday police said the officer had been treated and released.

The other driver appeared to have suffered only minor injuries.

The officer was responding to a foot pursuit that started near East 25th Avenue and Locust Street.

Details of the crash are not known at this time.
