A new study shows just how much time people spend each day working outside of work. A group called Pixmania found that, with the help of smartphones and tablet computers, the average adult checks his or her work email 20 times a day.
The researchers say that time spent with work email or work calls, outside of work, added up to two hours a day.
The average work day is already estimated at nine to 10 hours, so that extra two hours brings it up to 11 or 12.
