BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - A man accused in a crash that caused a pregnant woman to lose her fetus has pleaded guilty to driving under the influence and to two counts of felony vehicular assault.
The Times-Call reports Gary Sheats pleaded guilty Thursday and is scheduled to return to court April 3 for sentencing. He faces up to 20 years in prison.
Longmont police arrested Sheats after a crash July 5 injured Heather Surovik, who was pregnant. Her mother sustained minor injuries.
