KUSA - It's something most of us have to deal with weekly in Colorado: filling up our gas tanks.

Something you've likely noticed has gotten a bit more costly over the past few days. The average price of a gallon of gas has jumped nearly 25 cents over the past two weeks throughout the U.S. In Denver, GasBuddy.com reports a 47-cent jump.

Now, Denver's average price for a gallon of regular is $3.30. That's still cheaper than the national average of $3.59.

Still, prices are going up at a significant rate. This has been the biggest two-week jump in nearly two years.

The Lundberg Survey is chalking up the national increase to a rise in wholesale prices.
