WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama visited Asheville, N.C. on Wednesday and apparently, it was not all smooth sailing.
The skies were mostly clear as Air Force One took off Wednesday morning in Washington D.C. However, along the way, conditions changed and the plane hit turbulence.
According to Press Secretary Jay Carney, "after a very turbulent and slightly sick-making few minutes, during which we could hear glassware and china breaking in the gallery" the plane landed safely in Asheville.
Following his state of the union address, the president took his message to Asheville, where he toured the Liamar North Carolina Factory and spoke to workers.
