KUSA - A new restaurant is heading to Osage Street in Denver.
The Osage Café is more than just a place to eat, it's also a culinary training center giving young people the skills they need to get a job in the restaurant industry.
It's the brainchild of Annie Dowding and the Denver Housing Authority.
"Kids get to experience what a restaurant is in a real learning environment instead of jumping into a regular kitchen, which can be stressful.
So, this gives them the next stopping blocks. We're hoping when they leave they'll have the skills to get an entry level position in a restaurant," Dowding said.
