DENVER - Joe King is a founding member of the Denver-based hit band "The Fray."
He and Isaac Slade launched the band about 11 years ago. Many No. 1 songs and millions of ticket sales later, King, now 32, is about to launch a solo project.
'KING' is the result - an EP that will be released in April.
The first single "I Need a Woman by Friday" will drop on Monday.
For the first time ever, 9News Entertainment Reporter Kirk Montgomery was allowed to bring TV cameras into the bands "Candyland" studios.
King opened up about the reason for the solo act and wanted to ease Fray fans worries.
