KUSA - A deer and her fawn had to be rescued after they were trapped on the ice.
A retired biologist in Nova Scotia, Canada spotted the two but the ice was too thin to rescue them on foot, so he called the Department of Natural Resources.
When the helicopter arrived the fawn ran to the shore, but the doe was too afraid to move.
In a complicated maneuver the pilot used the downdraft of the chopper to push the deer to shore.
She and the fawn then ran off into the woods.
