DENVER - An electronic message board being used by police to help prevent crime has become a target of crime.
On Feb. 19, police say someone shot the message board in the 17500 Block of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard.
The display was being used to warn citizens in the area not to leave their personal valuables in their cars because of recent vehicle break-ins.
The sign was shot from both sides with an unknown caliber firearm. Police estimate the damage caused at more than $4,000.
This is a Crime Stoppers case. That means police are asking for help. If you can help, call 720-913-STOP.
