BOULDER - Boulder police responded to a disturbance involving more than 200 people in front of the Fox Theater in Boulder Monday evening.

Police in riot gear stood outside the theater to control the crowd on Boulder's University Hill.

The crowd was waiting for free tickets to a concert by the rap artist Tyler the Creator. The disturbance did not happen during the show, which started at 8 p.m.

The first show with a capacity of 625 people sold out, so a second show was added, which also sold out.

Fans say the crowd started pushing and one bottle was thrown. There appeared to be no injuries.

Police say an unrelated fight down the street started the commotion.

When Sky 9 flew over the area, the crowd appeared to be under control.

Police were seen in the area providing crowd control.
