COLORADO SPRINGS - Investigators believe a student is the one who started a fire at an elementary school in Colorado Springs Tuesday morning. The building had to evacuate.
The fire started just before 10:30 a.m. at Evans Elementary School on Winnebago Road.
The students, who were in the middle of taking TCAP tests, were taken to nearby Sand Creek High School where their parents picked them up.
More than 700 children attend Evans. There is no motive yet and no estimates on damages. According to the school's website, classes at Evans Elementary have been canceled Wednesday.
