BOULDER, Colo. (AP) - Prosecutors say they plan to file a first-degree murder charge against a 35-year-old Longmont man accused of eluding police officers and causing an accident that killed one person and injured two others.
The Daily Camera reports Pablo Bustillos will be charged with first-degree murder with extreme indifference when he appears in court Wednesday. He also will be charged with vehicular eluding, vehicular homicide and two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
Bustillos is accused of fleeing Longmont officers who were trying to pull him over for weaving in and out of lanes March 6. Authorities say he ran a red light and struck a car driven by 21-year-old Longmont resident Dale Johnson, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers in Bustillos' car also were injured.
