BOULDER - Boulder Police are asking for help to catch a suspect in an attempted robbery from March 3.
According to Boulder Police, a 20-year-old woman was walking alone near some businesses in the 4700 block of Table Mesa Drive around 10:30 p.m. She was confronted by an unknown man who demanded her purse.
The woman claims during the incident, the man tore the victim's dress and touched her exposed skin.
She ran away, and the suspect fled the scene.
The man is described as 35 to 40 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches or 5 feet 9 inches tall. He weighs about 140 pounds and has a stocky, muscular build. According to police, he was wearing a dark brown or black leather coat and blue jeans with black tennis shoes and white shoelaces. He had a scruffy bear and dark, matted hair. His front tooth was "badly chipped," according to police.
