LAKEWOOD - The man accused of using the credit cards of a murdered Lakewood attorney is heading to a Jefferson County Jail.
Warren Dale Watson, 52, was transferred Thursday from an Idaho jail where he was arrested March 8 on an unrelated warrant.
Police say Watson was captured on security cameras using credit cards belonging to Lakewood attorney Claudia Miller. The 66-year-old was found dead in her office just hours before her cards were used on March 5.
Investigators called Watson a "person of interest" in the murder, but he has yet to be implicated. Lakewood police say they are not looking at any other person in Miller's death.
Watson has a criminal history spanning at least two decades. He served prison time for burglary, forgery, theft and escape.
According to court records from a 1999 case, Watson stole his boss's credit cards. He used them to buy more than $4,000 in merchandise, including electronics. He also used his boss's identity to buy a Mercedes.
