ADAMS COUNTY - Two people were injured in a two-car crash that shutdown westbound lanes of Interstate 270 from York Street to Interstate 76 Saturday morning.
Trooper Josh Lewis with the Colorado State Patrol said the accident involving a 1990 Toyota sedan and a 2002 Mitsubishi coupe happened just before 1:45 a.m.
Lewis said the driver of the Mitsubishi had minor injuries-a passenger in that car was seriously injured and transported to a nearby hospital.
The other vehicle involved in the crash was a 1990 Toyota sedan. Lewis said the 20-year-old man driving the Toyota was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
