KUSA -  Iron pour is a spectacular, yet dying art.

Sculptor Rian Kerrane, a University of Colorado Denver associate professor at the College of Arts and Media stopped by the 9NEWS studio Saturday morning to discuss the process.

Those interested in witnessing this event can watch a live Iron Pour Friday, March 22 from dusk to 10:00 p.m. at the Arts Building Loading Dock Plaza 1150 10th Street.

The hot iron will be cast into molds using the Lovely Lever, designed and built in 2012.

The Lecture and Iron Pour Performance free to the public. Workshops to make tiles are available Tuesday and Thursday.
