KUSA - Using a telescope on other side of the Fort Collins, Mark Roberts was able to capture a time lapse of the Galena Fire as it burned throughout the weekend.
The blaze had charred 750 to 1,000 acres and was 45 percent contained as of Sunday morning as calmer weather on Saturday allowed crews to gain the upper hand.
The Galena Fire was first spotted Friday morning and was fueled by strong, erratic winds.
No injuries were reported, and no structures were damaged.
Authorities say the fire was accidentally sparked and was not the result of a prescribed burn.
