Two helicopters flew Monday morning along with 130 firefighters. Crews were able to secure fire lines on the western perimeter.

According to John Schulz with the Larimer County Sheriff's Office, two firefighters suffered minor injuries over the weekend battling the blaze.

Both were treated at a local hospital and released.

The fire was human caused but was not a result of a campfire, a controlled burn or a prescribed burn that escaped, officials said. The exact cause of the fire is expected to be released as soon as the investigation is complete.

The sheriff's office says wet weather prevented the fire from growing much Sunday.

At its height, the fire forced hundreds of residents from their homes Friday.

Evacuees were allowed to return Saturday night, but were told to be prepared to leave again.

Winds are expected again Tuesday.
