DENVER - Governor Hickenlooper will sign a gun control bill that critics say imposes New York City values on Colorado.

The bill banning certain ammunition magazines has been blasted by gun rights supporters who claim the bill will ban much more than first thought.

Amy Oliver Cooke, a conservative radio host, demonstrated critics' fear of the "continuous possession" clause of the bill Monday.

Cooke says the bill will make loaning and borrowing many common magazines a crime.

Governor Hickenlooper initially waivered on his support the bill, but he is now firmly behind it.

Supporters say magazine limits will force shooters to reload, slowing the rate of killing in mass shooting.
