Colorado weather forecast: Severe wind and blowing snow creating blizzard conditions

KUSA - The big snowstorm is over, but cold temperatures stick around through Sunday with another shot at some light snow, according to the Colorado weather forecast.

Most of metro Denver is reporting between 8 to 14 inches of new snow with most locations in the center of that range.  Snow will continue to decrease its intensity through the evening with only an inch or so of additional accumulation.

Foothills areas have also been in the 10 to 18 inch range with the snow ending earlier in the foothills than over Denver and the eastern plains..

As expected, Northern Colorado has stayed in the 4 to 8 in forecast range with wind-blown light snow continuing until early Saturday evening.

Light snow is again in the forecast for Sunday afternoon with anywhere from one half to one inch from Fort Collins south through the Denver metro area.

High temperatures for the Front Range will only be in the 20s.
