KUSA - The wife of long-time Colorado Buffaloes football coach Bill McCartney, Lyndi, passed away Thursday at the age of 70.

McCartney coached at the University of Colorado for 13 years and led the Buffs to the 1991 National Championship.

He was also the founder of the Promise Keepers men's ministry, a religious organization.
