LOVELAND - A Loveland mother and son were both arrested on drunken driving charges on their way home from an Eagles hockey game.
Joyce Curley, 49, and Brett Curley, 21, were both stopped for speeding at about 43 mph in a 35 mph zone Wednesday night, according to Larimer County Sheriff's Office.
It was about 9:42 p.m. when Joyce Curley was stopped driving a 1992 Toyota four-door at Crossroads Boulevard and Rocky Mountain Avenue, and Brett Curley was stopped in a 1995 Jeep Cherokee at East 37th Street and Rocky Mountain Avenue, according to the sheriff's office.
Both were booked into Larimer County Jail on charges of speeding and drunken driving; Joyce Curley also was booked on turn movements and required signal violation.
Both have since bonded out of jail.
Deputies were told the mother and son had just left the Colorado Eagles game at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland. The Eagles, a Double-A professional hockey team had just beaten the Alaska Aces 4-2.
