DENVER (AP) - The Denver district attorney says a deputy sheriff was justified when he killed a woman who shot at his partner during a January gunfight.
The shooting erupted when deputies tried to serve a search warrant and the woman began shooting with her two young children by her side.
According to the Denver Post, District Attorney Mitch Morrissey said Thursday that Deputy Eric Givens acted quickly and had no choice when he fatally shot Ronette Morales on the balcony of her apartment.
