AURORA - Police are investigating the third burglary this year at an 82-year-old man's home at the 3100 block of South Mobile Way in Aurora.
The robberies happened on January 27, May 16 and June 27. The first two times, alcohol and electronics were taken.
The man who owns the home is is 82-years-old. After the burglars struck a second time, he decided to install a surveillance camera.
During the most recent incident, the perpetrators are seen on video kicking in the front door and walking into the house, leaving with alcohol.
"It's a major intrusion and inconvenience," said Officer Frank Fania with the Aurora Police Department. "To happen three times in six months is unacceptable".
In the video, one of them burglars walks around the home like he had been in it before. He heads to the door, pokes around a bit and then brings another burglar in.
"One of the guys is wearing a baseball hat. A little hard to see him completely," Fania said.
The man with the baseball hat walks in with a box. The box is placed on the ground and the other burglar fills it with bottles of alcohol.
The man who lives here wasn't home at the time, but as we said this is the third time these two have broken in. First burglary happened back in January and the latest break-in was in late June.
"He [homeowner] was very frustrated after the first two and told me he wanted to get the best cameras possible," Fania said.
The suspects are described as two black men in their late teens or early twenties. One of the suspects appears to have a large tattoo on his right forearm.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP. You can remain anonymous and could be eligible for an up to $2,000 reward.
