MANITOU SPRINGS - Two of three people reported missing after fast-moving mudslides swept through Manitou Springs Friday have been found safe.
Sunday, the mother of 24-year-old Juston Travis called the El Paso County Sheriff's Office dispatch to report she had spoken to her son and he is safe.
Crews are searching for an unidentified woman witnesses saw clinging to a tree Friday night.
At least one person was killed in the slide, which also destroyed six houses and damaged more than 30 others.
The mudslide forced the closure of U.S. Highway 24 and flash flooding stranded vehicles in high water Friday night as heavy rain fell in an area burned by the Waldo Canyon Fire last year.
Police Chief Joe Ribeiro said all damaged buildings have been searched, but crews continue to sift through creek beds filled with debris.
