ARVADA - When public works crews found about five-inches of water, mud and sediment that had washed onto West 82nd Avenue, they initially thought they were dealing with a water main break. But later, they determined the mess was caused from storms Monday night, Cliff Deeds, Water Operations Manager for the City of Arvada, said.
The city was notified of the flooding around 1 a.m. Tuesday. The city closed the road because of unsafe conditions.
Crews are working to clear the road, but they do not know when the road will be re-opened.
