ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK - A 24-year-old climber died Thursday morning after falling 150 feet in the Rocky Mountain National Park.
The Springfield, Missouri man was climbing with a group at the Narrow on the Keyhole Route on Longs Peak when he fell. Rangers and bystanders attempted CPR, but the man succumbed to his injuries.
High winds kept a helicopter crew from recovering his body. Recovery efforts were scheduled to resume Friday, weather permitting. Park officials say parts of the Keyhole Route may be temporarily closed during air operations.
The climber's name wasn't immediately released.
