KUSA - If you're on your third or fourth cup of coffee this morning, this story is for you.
A new study from the Mayo Clinic finds heavy coffee consumption is associated with a higher risk of death in people younger than 55.
In the study, men younger than 55 who drank more than four cups a day were 56-percent more likely to have died from any cause.
Women in that age range had a twofold greater risk of dying than other women.
The study looked at over 43,000 people ages 20 to 87 from 1971 to 2002.
