DENVER - A man was killed after rear-ending another car on westbound Interstate 70 near the Airport Boulevard flyover just after 8:30 a.m. Friday.
According to Aurora Police, a Toyota slowed down due to traffic in front of it. A red Hyundai rear-ended the Toyota as it almost came to a stop in traffic. The driver of the Toyota was wearing their seat belt and only sustained minor injuries.
However, the driver of the Hyundai was not wearing his seat belt. He suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
The name of the man who died was not released.
The highway was closed for more than two hours as police investigated.
Police say no charges are anticipated because the driver at fault has died.
