Five Points used to be known as the jazz capital of the West, and it's working on a comeback.
The area of town was mentioned in the commercial real-estate section of the New York Times Wednesday morning. The article describes Five Points' decline in the 1960s and '70s, but mentions that it "has yet to return to its robust past."
