AURORA, Colo. (AP) - Two hospital executives who fostered the formation of University of Colorado Health together are stepping aside together.
UCHealth System CEO Bruce Schroffel and President Rulon Stacey will have advisory roles starting in October and will resign effective Jan. 1.
Chief Medical Officer Bill Neff will serve as interim president and chief executive officer starting Oct. 1 while the board of directors looks for someone to serve as the combined president and CEO.
Schroffel was leading University of Colorado Hospital and Stacey was leading Poudre (POO'-dur) Valley Health System when they talked in 2010 about combining into what became UCHealth.
The system later added Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.
