AURORA - Traffic investigators in Aurora say a man was seriously injured when he crossed a crosswalk on East 6th Avenue without the walk signal.
The crash happened at 10:00 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of East 6th Avenue and Potomac Street.
Police say an adult male was running across 6th Avenue on the East side of Potomac when he was nearly hit by a westbound car and then struck by an eastbound car.
Witnesses told police the car had a green light and the pedestrian did not have the walk signal.
The man was seriously injured but is expected to survive.
An adult male driver was the only occupant in the car and was not injured. Police say he remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Neither excessive speed nor intoxication is suspected in this accident, according to police.
