DENVER - If you love otters, this is a weekend you don't want to miss at the Denver Aquarium.
August 24 and 25 is Otter Weekend, two days filled with feedings, demonstrations, family-friendly games/activities and otter info.
Here's a look at what you can expect:
Throughout the exhibits
10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Join a fun scavenger hunt for kids along with interactive areas where guests can learn about Otters in the wild and the North American Otters that live at Downtown Aquarium Denver.
Make sure to check out Otter Beach, where kids dress up in snorkel equipment to feel what it is like to be an otter! They'll also reach into a box to feel for "prey" items.
10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Watch the otters learn new tricks and skill at the Otter training demonstration.
Enrichment Presentation Otter Exhibit
12 p.m. and 3 p.m.
Help pick out an enrichment item for the otters and watch Slater, Blue, and Emmett play with the item the guests choose!
VIP Behind the Scenes Tours ($10)
11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 4 p.m.
Guests must purchase a ticket for the Aquarium Adventure Exhibit to participate in the Otter Weekend activities. Admission is $17.99 for adults and $11.99 for children ages 3 to 11. The Aquarium is located at 700 Water Street.
