DENVER - The Denver City Council voted Monday evening on a tax rate to present to voters on retail marijuana.
A 3.5 percent tax was approved by the council to appear on the ballot measure in November.
If passed by Denver voters, the measure also allows flexibility for the council to lower that rate to zero or raise it up to as high as 15 percent.
This sales tax would be on top of the already approved state tax on marijuana.
