DENVER (AP) - Judicial officials say a Colorado judge received threats related to the 211 Crew, a prison gang investigated in connection with the killing of the state corrections chief.
The chief judge for El Paso County, Gilbert Martinez, said Monday the threats were made against County Judge Jonathan L. Walker in early August.
Martinez declined to say how the threats were related to the 211 Crew or provide other details. Walker didn't immediately return a call.
Martinez says an investigation is underway.
Evan Ebel, a member of the 211 Crew, is the only suspect in the killing of corrections chief Tom Clements. Clements was shot when he answered his front door. Ebel had recently been released from prison.
Ebel died in a shootout in Texas days later.
