KUSA - As if Bronco fans needed anything else to fire them up about the big grudge match, they have Flacco flying around town.
Banners across downtown Denver and around Sports Authority Field at Mile High showcase Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco and Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning.
Fans are questioning the decision to include Flacco in the league's Denver advertising campaign. Some fans have petitioned the NFL to take the banners down.
The Broncos explained that the NFL put up the banners to promote the regular season kickoff.
Defensive lineman Derek Wolfe was able to practice again following his neck injury Tuesday and said the following about the banners:
"We'll take care of that. You guys just come to the game," Wolfe said.
Manning banners are are appearing in Baltimore as well.
The Broncos face off with the Ravens on Thursday Sept. 5. They are looking for some revenge after the Ravens double-overtime playoff win in Denver Jan. 12.
