KUSA - Described as one of the toughest days for those in National Football League, the Broncos released or waived a number of players to get down to their 53-man regular season roster before the Saturday afternoon deadline.
Players released or waived:
Running back Lance Ball, center/guard C.J. Davis, running back Jeremiah Johnson, center/guard Ryan Lilja, tight end Jake O'Connell, defensive end Jeremy Beal, center/guard Phillip Blake, tackle Paul Cornick, defensive tackle Romney Fuga, defensive tackle Ben Garland, corner back Aaron Hester, linebacker Damien Holmes, wide receiver Tavarres King, tackle Vinston Painter, safety Rasner Ross, wide receiver Gerell Robinson, wide receiver Lamaar Thomas and defensive end John Youboty.
"You get close to these guys through the offseason conditioning, the OTAs [organized team activities], the minicamp, training camp and four preseason game," head coach John Fox said following the game Thursday night. "It's never easy."
