USA TODAY - ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the New England Patriots have released quarterback Tim Tebow.
Tebow admitted he wasn't sure if he'd done enough to stay Thursday night.
He was 6-for-11 for 91 yards, throwing a pair of touchdown passes and one
interception, and gained 30 yards on six carries against the New York Giants. But he also was sacked four times.
"Go to sleep when I get home, wake up, come work out, watch the film," he answered regarding his immediate plans. "See what I did good, see what I did bad, try to learn from it and get better."
Tebow's 36.7% completion rate ranked last among all qualified passers this preseason. He's thrown for 145 yards, two TDs and two interceptions in three games, compiling a 47.2 QB rating. His rushing numbers are more appealing as his 16 attempts garnered 91 yards.
