KUSA- The Longmont man who shot his wife and then himself on Thursday died from his injuries late Friday evening.
Raymond Ecker, 80, had been in critical condition since the shooting.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ecker called 911 after shooting his wife Judith and told dispatchers they had been sick for a long time and decided together they did not want to live anymore.
Raymond Ecker told the operator he was going to shoot himself and authorities needed to do "what is necessary to remove his body," the affidavit read.
He also gave the operator his son's name and phone number.
