GREEN VALLEY RANCH - Items were stolen from a fundraiser for a one-year-old girl who needs open heart surgery, Saturday.
Avelynn was born with Heterotaxy Syndrome. Her parents moved to Colorado from Nevada to ensure their daughter gets the treatment she needs from Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora.
The open heart surgery she needs next month is just one of the many surgeries she's already had and she will need as she continues to grow.
Avelynn's parents are holding fundraisers to help cover the costs. At the fundraising yard sale Saturday, a box full of T-shirts, bracelets and bumper stickers for Avelynn's cause were stolen.
The family said it just wants the box back.
Sunday, they had another fundraiser at Blair Charter School in Green Valley Ranch. It ended on a much better note. Nothing was stolen.
